Teacher’s Diary [2014] is a Thai movie that told us about teachers who taught in the school that located in the remote area (in the middle of lake). The school was really old, made from wood and had to go by boat to reach the place. The school was very isolated and plain. Before he commanded to taught in that place, he already registered in the public school as a sport teacher but there was no vacancy, so he was commanded to teach in that place. That school was different from public. The school on the lake, there were no uniform, book, and the facilities were only blackboard and chalk. The school was far from the students’ houses so they had to be in that school for several days.

The teacher’s name was Song. He was an ex wrestler so he did not know how to teach well. He treated the student on the as the students from public school, so the students did not like him. But the condition changed after he found a diary that belonged to the teacher before him. The teacher’s name is Ann. She wrote every incident that happened in the school in that book. Because of the loneliness in the school, Song read every page on the book again and again and he became falling in love with Ann although they were not met yet.

The beginning story of the diary is why Ann became a teacher in the isolated place. It is because she has three stars tattoo on her hand and she did not want to remove it when the headmaster commanded. So she ordered to teach in the school on the lake. If she did not want to teach in that place, the headmaster would close the school because there was no teacher that wanted to teach in the isolated place. She prepared to be teacher there because she thought that the children had to study. She willing to do that although the students only 7 children and the trip to reached the place was 6 hours from the town.

Song knew all the Ann’s feeling when she taught in the school. She had to break up with her boyfriend because he did not want to far away from her. She also found a human corpse under the school’s toilet. Not too differ from Ann, Song also felt the same feeling. He had to help one of the student’s father to work every weekend in order to make that student was permitted to go to school, he also repaired the part of the school that broken because of the storm, he had to fasten the boat behind the school with string because there was a student that ask to him how was the felt when went by train. He wrote his story in the Ann’s diary and added a little note for her in the end of the diary.

In the next semester, Song resigned from the school because he had to continue his study and Ann decided to return to teach in the school. The students often told about Song to Ann. She was very curious about Song until she found her diary and read it. She read all the Song’s writing until she wrote his note. She began to look for Song by asked to the headmaster. Obviously, Song looked for Ann too. And finally, they met in the school.
